What Does this ultrasound Test Result Mean?

My Mother is suffering from ascites(moderate).. and she is also suffering from fever from last 15 days. According to her ULTRASOUND Report:- Free fluid is seen in left pleural cavity(800 to 1200cc). Free fluid is seen in right pleural cavity(50 to 100cc). Free fluid is seen throughout the peritoneal cavity(1000 to 1500cc). Redness of her palm is not observed. Constipation problem is being observed from past few days. Increase in the size of the abdomenal cavity is observed. There s no scar on the abdomen. X-Ray report results :- BILATERAL PLEURAL EFFUSION(left right) Please help me out from this situation. I ll be grateful to you.

Hello

Ascitis(Fluid in peritoneal cavity) with bilateral pleural effusion need proper evaluation.It may be due to many cause like liver problem,cardiac,renal causes etc.

Your mother may need few other investigations like routine hemogram,random blood sugar,liver function test,renal function test,ECHO.

You mother may need diuretic for excess water drainage from her body.
Underlying cause should be searched.Treatment depend upon clinical findings and investigation reports.
